Bhudaza Mapefane is an acclaimed South African jazz artist, saxophonist, and pianist. He cultivated a deep love for jazz from a young age and eventually received formal piano lessons when he was 21. His career commenced in 1985, performing with the Jazz Combo and expanding his musical prowess under the mentorship of accomplished musicians. Bhudaza's academic journey led him to study jazz at the University of Cape Town, where he performed with the Sunshine Band. His solo career, initiated in 2003, resulted in multi-platinum albums and industry recognition. Beyond music, he's dedicated to nurturing aspiring talents and has earned acclaim for promoting Afro-jazz globally. Bhudaza's journey embodies passion, talent, and unwavering commitment to music, leaving an indelible mark on Lesotho's musical landscape.

He was a member of the iconic band TPOK Jazz from 1974 to 1982 and has recorded and performed as a solo artist and as a member of the supergroup Les Quatre Etoiles and Kékélé. Wuta Mayi joined several bands before joining TPOK Jazz in 1974. After leaving TPOK Jazz in 1982, he has continued to perform and record music.
