Bio
Egar Boi, born Ernest Ogaga Itiveh, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer whose musical journey began in his church choir. By age seven, he played drums, later mastering the piano. After a brief record label stint, he transitioned into production, leading to his breakthrough in 2016 with Skales’ "Ajaga," featuring Davido and Timaya. Inspired by Masterkraft’s percussion and Don Jazzy’s artist development approach, Egar Boi's music is genre-fluid, while rooted in Afrobeats but not limited to it. He has collaborated with industry icons, including Tiwa Savage, Phyno, and Yemi Alade, for whom he produced most of the "Queendoncom" EP. Known for his laid-back personality and experimental flair, Egar Boi continues to shape contemporary African music with his evolving sound.
