Hillat Beta, born Hillat Kamugisha, is a Ugandan Afro-Pop artist celebrated for his rich vocals and emotionally resonant music. Raised in a musical household, he discovered his talent at Boston High School in Entebbe–Mpala and later joined the choir at Riverside Church in Nakuwadde, Bulenga. Starting in church, he transitioned smoothly into professional music after high school. His songs reflect relatable Ugandan experiences, helping him build a strong local following. Hillat’s singles, including “Wokute,” “Tukaaba,” “Omungambirangako,” and “Buzze Kubunabwo” featuring Nesa K, earned radio airplay and acclaim. In 2022, he released Tukooye Ekyenyanja, a 9-track debut album under Content Connect Africa, blending Afro-Pop with heartfelt storytelling. Follow-up tracks like "Kalaala" (2021) and "Bakukozesa Bukozesa" (2024) further showcased his emotional depth and rhythmic appeal. With his smooth delivery and relatable lyrics, Hillat Beta is steadily rising as a notable figure in Uganda’s contemporary music scene.
