Himra, born Abdul Rahim Souleymane Bakayoko, is an Ivorian rapper, singer, and recording artist known for his contributions to contemporary drill and rap. Inspired by Abidjan's vibrant street culture and French rap, he began writing lyrics and freestyling at a young age before forming the group SBS. After launching his solo career, he gained attention with "Omega" and "Brutal," before signing with Def Jam Recordings Africa in 2020.
His 2021 project "Ivoire Drill King" established him as a leading voice in Ivorian drill, while "Jeune & Riche" (2024) became a landmark release that earned multiple awards and expanded his international audience.
His catalog includes "BARA BARA," "FREESTYLE DRILL IVOIRE #7," "Piña Colada," and "My Bae." Himra has collaborated with Gazo, La Fouine, Leto, Zlatan, ElGrandeToto, Minz, and M24, winning Best Francophone Artist, Best Francophone Album, and the Black Trophy at the 2024 African Talent Awards, followed by PRIMUD D'OR 2025.
