Zainab Elizabeth Donli, who records and performs as Lady Donli, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter whose music moves across alté, afrobeats, soul, afro house, R&B, and bongoflava. That genre range alone signals an artist unwilling to be contained by category, and her career has reflected that restlessness from early on.
Signed to Mini Kingz, Lady Donli released "No Doubt" as part of a body of work that also includes "Enjoy Your Life" and "Pan African Rockstar," reflecting her genre-fluid approach. Her collaborations tell much of her story.
She has worked with Adekunle Gold, Tems, Mr Eazi, Davido, Nonso Amadi, Amaarae, VanJess, M.I Abaga, Odunsi (The Engine), Tomi Thomas, Tay Iwar, Show Dem Camp (SDC), Boogey, and Terry Tha Rapman. The breadth of that list, stretching across alté, hip hop, afrobeats, and R&B, reflects both her creative flexibility and the trust her peers place in her as a collaborator.
