BioOkaidja Afroso, a Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and dancer, blends traditional African rhythms with global influences. Hailing from Kokrobite, music was his childhood soundtrack. He joined the Ghana Dance Ensemble at 19, touring internationally before pursuing his passion for songwriting. Self-taught on guitar, his unique style led to albums like Messenger and The Palmwine Sea. Okaidja's music explores the African diaspora, exemplified by his band Okaidja & Shokoto. He's also composed for theatre and dance. His Ancient Africa Wisdom Trilogy, including Jaku Mumor and Àbòr Édín, showcases his cultural heritage. Okaidja's music transcends language, connecting people through shared experiences. A skilled chef, he believes music, like good food, nourishes the soul.
