Bio
Preye Odede, born Onyenkepreye Odede, is a Nigerian gospel singer-songwriter, and minister known for soul-stirring songs like "Ebezina," "Bulie," and "Oshimiri Atata." Born as the third of seven children, his early years were marked by hardship. Despite these challenges, he pursued education, earning a degree in microbiology from Abia State University. Preye’s musical journey began in his church’s children's choir before progressing to the main choir. He later formed the acapella group Born2Praiz. His breakthrough came in 2011 with the hit single "Biko," followed by his debut album "My Script" (2012), featuring the widely acclaimed "Ebezina." He solidified his place in gospel music with the album "Ready" (2017), which included "Oshimiri Atata" and "Bulie." Beyond music, Preye is the CEO of Script Planet and the convener of The Move concert, one of South-South Nigeria’s biggest gospel events. With multiple awards to his name, his mission remains clear; spreading hope through gospel music.
