BioBoyz II Men began in Philadelphia in 1988, where a group of high school friends transformed their shared passion for harmony singing into one of R&B's most successful careers. After earning the attention of Michael Bivins through an impromptu backstage audition, they signed with Motown and introduced themselves with "Cooleyhighharmony" in 1991. The album established their signature approach, combining intricate vocal arrangements with contemporary R&B. Commercial momentum accelerated with "II," which produced enduring hits including "I'll Make Love to You" and "On Bended Knee." Their duet with Mariah Carey, "One Sweet Day," dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for sixteen consecutive weeks, setting a chart record at the time.
Following Michael McCary's departure in 2003, Nathan Morris, Wanyá Morris, and Shawn Stockman continued as a trio. More than sixty million records sold, four Grammy Awards, and decades of international performances reflect their lasting place in popular music history.
