BioComprising Jeraz Ke, Vdj Smartboy, Unknown Scott, and Potmo, Nova Flow Boyz is a hip-hop group from Nairobi, Kenya redefining Kenya's music scene with raw storytelling centered on social consciousness. Their journey traces back to the streets of Nairobi, where they united for a joint cause: their love for music and the resolve to amplify the voices of youths.
Their sound, which features authentic Kenyan sound with touches of modernization, drew inspiration from hip-hop legends like Tupac and Nas, as well as local icons like Khaligraph Jones. Focusing on themes of personal growth, societal issues, and cultural pride, their songs incorporate Afrobeat, reggae, and trap into their hip-hop roots. They gradually started to make a name for themselves with the release of their debut album Genesis, and a follow-up project Elevate.
