Not content with that, he founded the iconic Soukous Stars, featuring talented musicians like Ballou Canta and Dally Kimoko.
Their groundbreaking album "Megamix Vol. 1" became a soukous sensation, reshaping the genre with Lokassa's fusion of Congolese melodies and Afro-Cuban influences.
Lokassa Ya Mbongo's contributions to the music industry earned him widespread recognition and a dedicated fan base across Africa and beyond.
