Bio
Rowlene, born Rowlene Nicole Bosman, is a multi-platinum South African singer-songwriter from Cape Town, renowned for her soulful R&B vocals and vulnerable songwriting. Born in 1997 and raised in Elsies River, she discovered her passion for music in school choirs before studying music production at Cape Audio College. She first gained attention with her 2015 debut single "Imposter" and rose to national fame through collaborations with rapper Nasty C, most notably on the 5x platinum hit "SMA." In 2020, she released her debut album, "11:11," which earned a South African Music Award nomination for Best Pop Album. Rowlene’s global reach expanded when her tracks, including "Cupid" and "I Need You," were featured on the Netflix series Blood & Water. Recognized for fusing R&B with elements of pop and hip-hop, she keeps refining her sound, evident in releases such as "Frequency" (2022) and her 2024 single, “Sweet Escape.”
