Jabali Afrika is an Afro-rock band formed by former members of the Kenyan National Theatre in Nairobi, Kenya. Justo and Joseck Asikoye, brothers, formed the group; Victor Elolo and Dumisizwe Bhembe later joined. The band's genre is known for its fusion of rock, reggae, and African percussion.
Fundi Konde and George Mukabi inspired Jabali Afrika's original musical style, which features traditional instruments like the Chivoti flute, Sikuti drum, and Mbumbumbu bass drums. The band's music has changed gradually, absorbing elements from Fela Kuti, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and the Grateful Dead. The group has worked with several musicians, including Antonio Carmona of Ketama, Sanaipei Tande, Samaki Mkuu, and Samba Mapangala.
