Michael Owusu Addo, known professionally as Sarkodie, is a Ghanaian rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur, a hip hop and hiplife artist, performing in English and Twi, and contributing to the rise of Azonto. Born the fourth of five children, he grew up in Tema, attended Tema Methodist Day Senior High School, and later earned a degree in graphic design from IPMC College of Technology.
